Many of our conversations with current customers and prospective customers involve the fear about supply chain issues due to the global pandemic. There is a lot of misinformation out there and we hope to clear that up! Steller Construction will always be upfront with you and help find the best solution for your home.
Yes, there are a few items that are taking longer to get in such as windows, exterior doors, and appliances. However, we don’t see that as a deterrent in starting your project, as there are always ways to work around these delays.
For example, 80 percent of our projects do not require windows or exterior doors. For projects that do require new windows or exterior doors, we are working with the customer to make sure items are ordered in advance and then we schedule the project when we know we can install them. We don’t want our homeowners to live with plywood windows while we do the rest of the project and want to minimize the disruption to the family’s daily life.
Appliances are in high demand right now, but we can always use your existing appliances until your new appliances arrive. We’ve also had homeowners rent ovens until their new orders come in.
Our team is anticipating delays on windows and appliances, so from the moment we start planning your project, we will help you prioritize ordering these items right away. Then our team can work with you on the rest of your project planning.
Regarding the availability of other project materials: they are available! We can find what you want, and we can work around any problems with finding materials. One vendor might not have the type and color of tile you desire, but another supplier will!
One of our biggest jobs in remodeling is to be upfront with our homeowners on how their project is progressing. Steller Construction will continue to operate with honesty and integrity and will not use supply chain issues as an excuse to delay your project!
