Expanded Kitchen

The homeowners desired a modern farmhouse aesthetic with lighter tones, but their kitchen was dominated by dark wood and lacked functionality. By reallocating space from the unused dining room, we added 120 square feet, creating a more open layout with a 12-foot island for seating and meal prep. A new stainless steel range hood and microwave drawer improved ventilation, solving previous issues with smoke alarms. The refrigerator was relocated to the former dining room, with an expansive pantry wall added for storage. We also included a bench with storage for the family dog. The result is a bright, airy kitchen that now meets the family’s needs. While on site, we also updated the stairs and fireplace to give them both updates as well.
