The greatest measure of our success is a happy homeowner. But when our work is also recognized by our peers in the remodeling industry, it’s a special honor. We are thrilled to announce that Steller Construction has been recognized with four National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) Remodeler of the Year (RotY) awards for 2025. These awards celebrate excellence in design, craftsmanship, and problem-solving.

Each winning project tells a unique story of transformation. From creating a show-stopping front porch to completely reimagining a home’s interior, these projects showcase our team’s commitment to quality and innovation. Residential Exterior: A Welcoming Front Porch Transformation

A home’s entrance sets the first impression. For the Lynch Residence in Westerville, a flat façade and simple stoop didn’t reflect the warmth and character of the home within. Our goal was to create a grand, inviting entrance that added both architectural interest and functional outdoor living space.

The Vision: More Than Just an Entryway

We designed a classic portico that seamlessly integrates with the home’s traditional architecture. The new structure was carefully planned to appear as if it were part of the original design, not an afterthought. This involved matching rooflines, selecting complementary materials, and focusing on proportional design. The result is a beautiful covered porch that adds depth and dimension to the home’s exterior.

Craftsmanship in Every Detail

The project’s success lies in its execution. We used a timeless palette of materials to achieve a sophisticated look.

• Brick and Columns: The wide, inviting steps and landing are built from brick, tying into the home’s existing foundation. Four stately white columns provide structural support and a strong vertical element that draws the eye upward.
• Custom Ceiling: The porch ceiling features beautiful cedar tongue-and-groove paneling. This touch of warmth and luxury creates an elegant, finished look.

This new front porch has fundamentally redefined the home’s character, turning a simple entryway into a distinguished and welcoming focal point. It proves how a well-designed exterior feature can make a powerful and lasting impact.

Residential Interior Feature: A Smart Swap for Modern Living

Sometimes the most impactful changes come from rethinking how we use our space. The Rufus Residence project is a perfect example of this. The homeowners were struggling with two adjacent utility spaces: a small pantry and a larger, chaotic mudroom. Our solution was bold yet simple: flip their functions.

A Tale of Two Rooms

By swapping the purpose of each room, we created two highly functional, custom-tailored spaces that dramatically improved the homeowners’ daily lives.

• From Pantry to Mudroom: The original, smaller pantry was transformed into a sophisticated mudroom. It now features floor-to-ceiling cabinetry with an integrated bench, elegant wainscoting, and a new swinging door with frosted glass. The crowning feature is a fully tiled dog wash station, complete with a durable quartz cap—a dream for any pet owner.
• From Mudroom to Grand Pantry: The larger original mudroom was gutted and reborn as an expansive, high-end pantry. This new space includes a full-size refrigerator, a dedicated wine fridge, a farm sink, quartz countertops, and extensive custom cabinetry with vertical shiplap accents.

This project was a masterclass in spatial problem-solving. It required significant plumbing and electrical reconfiguration to support the new appliances and dog wash. The result is two beautiful, hard-working spaces that blend seamlessly with the home’s existing finishes.

Residential Bathroom: Creating a Spa-Inspired Retreat

The Tully Residence project involved transforming a cramped, dated 1990s primary bathroom into a serene, spa-like oasis. The original layout was inefficient, with a bulky tub and small closet that made the space feel confined. Our goal was to open up the room and introduce elements of modern luxury and comfort.

Maximizing Space and Luxury

To achieve the desired transformation, we started with a complete demolition. Removing the old tub and closet walls immediately reclaimed valuable square footage. This allowed us to design a space that prioritizes both relaxation and function.

• The Steam Shower: The centerpiece of the new bathroom is a custom steam shower. It features a built-in bench, a convenient shaving ledge, multiple shower heads, and a sleek frameless glass enclosure.
• Modern Comforts: A dual vanity with quartz countertops provides ample storage, while backlit mirrors add a touch of glamour. We also installed radiant heated floors, ensuring the space is a warm and comfortable retreat, even on the coldest mornings.
• Expanded Closet: The adjacent walk-in closet was redesigned and expanded, featuring tailored organization systems to maximize every inch of storage.

This project involved complex plumbing and HVAC rerouting to accommodate the new steam system and relocated vents. The finished space is a cohesive modern oasis that expertly balances comfort, functionality, and high-end finishes.

Entire House Remodel: A Complete Rebirth

This Powell, Ohio project was one of our most ambitious undertaking, involving a complete gut and rebuild of a sprawling property. The goal was to transform a home with a dated, compartmentalized layout into a modern sanctuary defined by open spaces, seamless indoor-outdoor connections, and an unwavering commitment to bespoke craftsmanship. A New Architectural Vision

By taking the interior down to the studs, we had a blank canvas to execute a completely new architectural vision.

• Structural Reconfiguration: We removed key load-bearing walls to create an expansive, open-concept living area. This required engineering a new support system that was seamlessly integrated into the design.
• High-End Materials: The home was rebuilt with a palette of premium materials, including natural stone and tile flooring, white oak, and extensive tongue-and-groove wood paneling.
• Bespoke Features: The remodel includes numerous custom elements, from a striking pivot-hinge front door to custom vanities and casework in every bathroom and living space.

This whole-house remodel was a comprehensive re-engineering of the property. It showcases how a visionary design, when met with uncompromising craftsmanship, can completely redefine a home for modern living.
